• How to avoid GM foods easily? - Simple Tutorial about GMO

GM foods are produced from plants and vegetables that have changed DNA, which is made by using the methods of genetic engineering. Plant crops are genetically modified in order to increase yields include those conveying drought, pest and disease-resistance. Genetic modification has been widely used for the last two decades in a variety of industries. Several studies over the past decade have revealed that genetically engineered foods can pose serious risks to farmers, human health, animals and the environment. Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal system So if you want to avoid GM foods just be aware what you eat...

Don’t forget to subscribe to our Youtube Channel! -Aspartame and Genetically Modified Humans The European patent for aspartame is now available online, and it confirms the artificial sweetener is made from the waste products of genetically modified E. coli bacteria. Though this fact was reported as early as 1999, not much attention was paid at the time to aspartame and its maker Monsanto, which was allegedly adding GM aspartame to soft drinks in Britain. The patent refers to "cloned microorganisms" later revealed to be genetically modified E. coli bacteria. They are modified to produce an especially large peptide used to create aspartame. The cultivated and well-fed bacteria then produce proteins which contain the aspartic acid-phenylalanine amino acid segment required to produce the sweetener. The bacteria waste is then treated to turn the large peptide and a free carboxyl group into a dipeptide. The the dipeptides are then treated with alcohol and methanol to produce aspartame. Controversy has steadily grown around genetically modified foods and GM giant Monsanto. Coke recently ran an ad campaign defending their use of aspartame, saying studies support the product's safety.

Top 7 freakish genetically modified animals http://curious-droid.com/4wlo Sudden death mosquito Dengue fever is mosquito born virus that causes 2.3 million infections and 25,000 deaths per year worldwide As there is not cure yet, to deal with this option scientists have created what are called “sudden-death” genetically modified mosquitos which are released in the wild and breed with the indigenous mosquito population. These then pass the special gene to their offspring. This gene means that the baby mosquitoes die before they themselves could breed and thus Reducing the number of mosquitos that could go on to infect people. Glow-in-the-Dark Cats The glow-in-the-dark cat was developed as a way to fight feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), which is related to HIV and typically affects feral cats. In 2011 American and Japanese scientists inserted genes in cats to help resist FIV. In order to mark the cells more easily, they also inserted a green fluorescent protein and both genes transferred to feline eggs. This let the scientists examine how this resistant gene developed within the cats by examination under a microscope. The modified cats are always normal during the day, but sometimes glow at night. Web-Spinning spider Goats Spider's silk is, pound for pound, five times stronger than steel and far more elastic than rubber For instance, due to its strength and elasticity, spider silk fiber could have applications in bulletproof vests and improved car airbags, parachute cords, artificial ligaments, and everything in between Normally, getting enough spider silk for these applications requires large numbers of spiders. However, spiders tend to be territorial, so when the researchers tried to set up spider farms, the spiders killed each other. So They inserted silk-making genes into the mammary gland cells of goats, the cells then make the extra protein to make spider's silk. The milk can then be collected and the protein is extracted and spun into spider silk thread Singing Mice Sometimes there is no defined end result for the genetic tweaking involved, and this is what happens with the Japanese Evolved mouse project. While checking a new litter of mice one morning, researchers discovered one of the baby mice was “singing like a bird.” They focused on that mouse and have breed over 100 mice that can now sing But it doesn’t end there, they noticed that when normal unmodified mice grew up around singing mice, they too began to use different sounds and tones, almost like a simple language. Popeye Pigs For all you meat eaters out there that love bacon and hate the vegetables, Japanese scientists have taken pigs and added a gene from spinach, this creates healthier meat with lower a saturated fat content and contain proteins that are found in the spinach leaves Dubbed “Popeye Pigs,” these pigs have been inserted with a spinach gene that converts saturated fat into unsaturated fat . Although the pigs have been cleared of any health complications, their announcement was met with public outcry. Human cow milk Babies could be fed on ‘human’ milk produced by cows in the wake of the latest genetic modifications. Scientists have created cattle that have been given human genes to make their milk contain the same nutrients and fat content as breast milk. However, Human milk differs from cows’ milk in several important ways. It contains high quantities of nutrients beneficial to a baby’s growth and immune system antibodies that are specific the that mother and baby which can never be replicated in this way. Glofish The GloFish is a patented brand of genetically modified (GM) fluorescent zebrafish with bright red, green, and orange fluorescent colors. In 1999, scientists at the National University of Singapore were working with a gene called green fluorescent protein (GFP), originally extracted from a jellyfish, that naturally produced bright green bioluminescence. They inserted the gene into a zebrafish embryo, allowing it to integrate into the zebrafish’s genome, which caused the fish to be brightly fluorescent under both natural white light and ultraviolet light. The idea was to develop a fish that could detect pollution by fluorescing in the presence of environmental toxins. http://www.oxitec.com/oxitec-video/using-genes-to-control-insects-the-oxitec-solution/ http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-14882008 https://www.theguardian.com/science/2002/jan/18/genetics.research https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLu37VvCozw http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/1780541.stm http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1372836/Scientists-develop-genetically-modified-cow-produces-human-breast-milk.html https://www.glofish.com/ Candlepower by Chris Zabriskie is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://chriszabriskie.com/divider/ Artist: http://chriszabriskie.com/

Many nations in Europe refuse GMO products from the United States, and the trend is continuing throughout Africa as well. Many people are against GMOs, and many don’t understand what they are. Basically, a GMO is an organism that’s been modified in the lab to introduce the DNA from another organism. This is usually done to create a pesticide-resistant plant, or one that can fight off a common parasite. While GMO products have been around for a long time, many people aren’t aware of what exactly they might be consuming that has GMOs in them, hence the ongoing efforts to introduce mandatory labeling in the United States. http://www.TheRawfoodfamily.com I can imagine that you do not like this information, because it is uncomfortable. But, hey: Didn't say that it would be easy to be in charge of all the food you eat. But at least is it possible! As I have quite some distrust for labels on the food, I want to know FOR SURE that my food is GMO free and organic. All companies who want to sell their products can be accidentally or even consciously mistaken by labeling their food as "GMO-Free" or "organic". This video is giving some real good tips on how to identify REAL GMO-Free food without having to trust the labels on packages. I love how we can take the power back using the simple tips I am giving here in this video. We do NOT have to buy GMO foods, but can make our own decisions getting the GMO-free foods on our table. This is so important, as most of the "designed" or "hybrid" foods are trained to have less seeds and much sugar, which does decrease the natural force and nutrient content. And I am not even talking about pesticides or hormones here. Just the simple quality and nutrient content is much lower in GMO produced food. This is why it is so important to have the wild foods and the old types of our raw foods on our table. Did you know that ancient apples just had the size of cherries and were really sour? Those apples did contain 50 times more nutrients than our modern-timers. We need the old, wild sorts. Those are the foods that also have more life force and are better prepared to survive in nature without our protection. it is almost ironic, that most of the raw foods today wouldnt even be able to survive by themselves. they need us to protect, shelter and nurture them. We get so much more life force and nutrients out of the wild , old types of foods that are GMO-free. I hope you find some good tips in the video, and remain with all my wild food love Love KA Website: http://www.TheRawfoodfamily.com Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Rawfoodfamilylife Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/kasundance.page Twitter: http://twitter.com/kasundance Get instant access to 5 free, nutrition-packed, easy to make raw food recipes. http://welcome.therawfoodfamily.com/ Give your kids something healthy to eat and yourself a life outside the kitchen as well! !!! "Preliminary findings suggest a link between Morgellons Disease and Agrobacterium, a soil bacterium extensively manipulated and used in making GM crops; has genetic engineering created a new epidemic? " Agrobacterium & Morgellons Disease, A GM Connection? by Dr.Mae-Wan Ho and Prof. Joe Cummins: http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=9891 "August 1, 2007, the CDC issued the following statement regarding Morgellons Disease: "Morgellons is an unexplained and debilitating condition that has emerged as a public health concern. Recently, the CDC has received an increased number of inquiries from the public, health care providers, public health officials, Congress, and the media regarding this condition. Persons who suffer from this condition report a range of coetaneous symptoms including crawling, biting and stinging sensations; granules, threads or black speck-like materials on or beneath the skin; and/or lesions (e.g., rashes or sores) and some sufferers also report systemic manifestations such as fatigue, mental confusion, short term memory loss, joint pain, and changes in vision."
